A selection of moustaches for Movember!
Today’s design is a rubbing of some old New Zealand coins, bringing back memories of doing this when I was a kid.
Some simple, clean, black and white typography for todays design.
Today is World Sight Day, a day focusing awareness of blindness, visual impairment and rehabilitation of the visually impaired. So I’ve done another design in plain white paper, creating braille to create the date. It says “11 October 2012″.
Another special birthday wish today, for my friend Chadley. I like how todays design looks like the word sixteen, which reminds me of the age we were when we hung out together all the time at school and over summer in our teens. Happy Birthday Chadley!
Yes, the days really are rolling into months for me at the moment, so I’ve merged the two together for today’s design.
This morning at 9:26am in New Zealand there is a nationwide earthquake drill. Called ShakeOut, this exercise is to educate people about what to do in the case of an earthquake, before it happens. So I’ve used this as inspiration for today’s design.
Today’s design uses a technique of rolling paper strips, called quilling. I was taught quilling when I was a child by my neighbor at the time – Isabel, so today’s design is dedicated to her.
A quick hand-drawn design today.
